GOOD START AT THE CSI A CORUÑA COMPETITION

The tenth edition of the CSI A Coruña launched this Friday with the Inaugural Trophy and the Móstoles Industrial going to the Italian and Spanish riders Eugenio Grimaldi and Ismael García Roque.

The tenth edition of the Casas Novas International jumping show launched its winter edition this Friday with the celebration of the Inaugural Trophy . The first prize went to young Italian rider Eugenio Grimaldi who, riding Jamac D’Heurtrlup completed a clear, table- A leg with 1.30 mt obstacles in 48.37 seconds.

Second classified were the duo formed by Luis Mateos Bernaldez and Candyboy II, finishing in 52.22 seconds and with zero penalties. The third position went to Japanese rider Yuko Itakura and Caramel Z after perfoming a clear round in 52.47 seconds. Eduardo Plasencia and Copacabana finished in fourth place without knocking down any obstacle in 54.9 seconds. The fith place went to another Spanish rider: José Díaz Vecino who riding Baly Van Stapelvoorde completed a clear-round course in 55.51 seconds.

GRIMALDI PRAISES THE CASAS NOVAS EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES
At the end of this first competition, the young 24 year old Italian rider, Eugenio Grimaldi declared: “It´s my first participation en the A Coruña CSI and the truth is that the facilities have surprised me pleasantly”. He also stated that the inclusion of the A Coruña CSI 2* trials this year “opens the way to young riders”.

As for his mount, Jarnac D`Heurteloup, Grimaldi remarked on it´s speed and on how special this horse was to him. “It´s an spectacular animal and it belongs to my girlfriend who rides too”.

“IT´S BEEN A VERY FAST AND HARD- FOUGHT TRIAL"
The winner, Ismael García declared that it had been a “specially fast but above all a very competitive” trial.
The Spanish athlete claimed to be “delighted” with the his result and hoped to be able to repeat the experience in the next Two Star trials which will take place during the weekend.

“The truth is that the Spanish riders have had a very good performance in this Móstoles Industrial” he said “ we couldn´t have been asked for more”, he also pointed out that he was having a good year. “ This is turning out to be a very good season for me. I have already won forty-something tournaments and I hope to get to Christmas winning a good Casas Novas CSI.
