The Spanish riders Arrive to Casas Novas to Face the Last Challenge in Spain Before the World Championship

Eduardo Álvarez Aznar and Sergio Álvarez Moya, currently holding first and second place in the Spanish ranking, will be competing in the Interna-tional Show-Jumping Competition of A Coruña over the weekend.
This year, the Spanish riders arrive to Casas Novas with a twofold challenge: On one hand, to shine in each of the tests that we will be able to see during the weekend in the outdoor track of A Coruña, which will give us, like every year, very exciting moments of the competition. On the other hand, they are getting ready for the World Championships, which will be held from the 6 to the 14 of August in Herning (Denmark), where there is a state-of-the-art sand track, very similar to that of Casas Novas.

This allows us, once again, to see in the International Show-Jumping Competition of A Coruña a great number of  riders who will be representing Spain in August in Denmark, some of the greatest members of the national team, such as Eduardo Álvarez Aznar, Sergio Álvarez Moya, Ismael García Roque or Santiago Nuñez Riva.

The riders will also be accompanied by their star horses. Eduardo Álvarez Aznar, natural from Madrid, will ride his faithful "Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot", recently recovered after a year's break and who returned to the tracks winning the grand prize at the Longines EEF Series on the green track of the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.

Moreover, Sergio Álvarez Moya, from Avilés, Asturias, will bring his stable's star horse, "Álamo", who allowed him to finish second in the last Super Grand Prix of the Prague Play-Offs, which he entered after winning the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Madrid.

Ismael García Roque, current champion of Spain, plans to jump with his mare, "La Costa", fast becoming one of the duets to look out for.

The youngest of the four, Santiago Nuñez Riva, will ride "Chakira Z" and "Valentino de Hus Z", the latter being a horse with which he has competed in the last two Spanish championship Copas de Naciones, in Madrid and Deauville, winning the first one and coming second in the next one.

This year, invitations can be acquired in CSI Casa Nova’s website (www.csicasasnovas.com) until full capacity is reached, where we will enjoy, once again, the thrill of jumping, along with the best gastronomy, fun and sports bets. This year, the competition has committed to a charity, and all funds raised from the bets will be donated to Cocina Económica of A Coruña.

The competition will also be fully broadcasted in more than 200 countries through the ClipMyHorse.TV channel and the competition oficial website (www.csicasasnovas.com).
